The Great Escape DVD MGM

- A unique DVD from 1998. It is the only one in the world to present an ultra-wide format of the film in 2.69:1, representing the entire filmed image! All other transfers are in 2.35:1 format, which is the one intended by director John Sturges, cropped on the sides.

- There is a Laserdisc with the same transfer, which however is cropped on the right side, compared to the DVD, which presents the entire original film image.

- The disc contains the original and unretouched mono French version.

- Since this is a port of the Laserdisc master, the image is in 4:3, however. You will need to zoom in to get the 2.69:1 at the largest possible scale on your TV.

- Includes an 8-page booklet.

- Used. Good general condition.
